Monster under my bed

I got this idea some days ago when I went to sleep. I liked the concept of a little 5-6 year old girl who has a monster under her bed, taking care of her. The monster keeps all the other evil, scary monsters - like the closet monster - away and watches over the girl’s sleep. I think the monster is kind of a Calving & Hobbes-thing, since the parents or other kids don’t see the monster under the bed.
